Check out the Cover and Editorial Shoot we did for Umm Magazine (summer 2010) with Hero's and True Blood's Dawn Olivieri. Dimitry Loiseau did an amazing job and Dawn was fun and easy to work with. She has the best hair and I'm sure she was tired of me raving about it by the end of the shoot. You can pick up a copy or check the spread here.....

My Emmy Award experience
With coming of fall, here in Los Angeles, also comes the beginning of award season. One of my favorite things to do is hair and make-up for an actress or director or anyone going to one of these big events.
This last week I got to do one of my favorite actresses for the 2009 Alma Awards. Francia Raisa works on the hit show "Secret Life of the American Teen" and was nominated for best actress in a drama series for her role as Adrian. I did her make-up for the red carpet and show while her hairstylist Gabby hooked up her hair. Of course, she looked amazing.

I also had a chance to do Irish Director, Dearblha Walsh and her partner Anna Nolan, for the Primetime Emmys. She was nominated for Best Director for Outstanding Miniseries ( Little Dorrit.) I was able to do both her hair and makeup for the Red Carpet and Show. Since she lives in Dublin, Ireland, she was telling me how she was enjoying Los Angeles and the whole Emmy experience, even though she probably would not win.
So later when the show aired, I happened to catch the presentation for Best Director and what do you know, Ms. Walsh won!! I jumped up screaming at the TV.....so excited for her and then giddy at the fact that my hair and make-up would be seen on national TV. And she looked amazing.... hee hee
