My L'Oreal Make-up Pics for Your Make-up bag

I have more make-up than I need but I cannot help myself.... especially when I find a good deal.  One of my favorite brands that I like to use on Celeb photoshoots is L'Oreal. Here are some new products that will work for you, as well, like the Voluminous False Fiber Lashes and their Studio Secrets Face Primer, True Match Foundation finishing with Visible Lift Under Eye Concealer. I love lip glosses and their le Gloss is a new favorite. (There are a great range of colors.) And don't forget to use a night moisturizer... I'm loving the Advanced Revitalift Night Cream, it absorbs into the skin and is non-greasy. Try these for yourself.....  Enjoy!!

A Minimalist’s Guide to Summer Beauty….

                              Photo: DimitryL.com, Model: Krista, Hair/Make-up:ValerieNoble.com

Now that summer is here and the weather has gotten warm, it’s a perfect time to streamline our beauty regimes. Looking fabulous with a minimal amount of skincare and make-up is easy so let’s take a look at how we can streamline our summer beauty routines down to 3 or 4 steps.

Skin Care- Skincare is really important in the summer when our sun exposure is increased but we can keep it simple by using:
  • Cleanser- It is so important to remove your make-up and if you don’t wear make-up to clean your face nightly. Use a cleanser that works for your skin type.
  • Nighttime moisturizer- After cleaning your face, it is imperative to moisturize. (Keep in mind that dry skin and sun damage shows up as wrinkles and fine lines.) With the new technology in today’s creams like retinol, glycolic acid, botanicals and oil-free moisturizers, nightly use can give you amazing results for younger looking skin.
  • Weekly Facial Scrub- Use a scrub once a week to keep your skin looking fresh and revitalized. (Remember to moisturize after the scrub and don’t forget your neck)
(Try: St. Ives Mineral Therapy Body Polish)
Make-up –Light daytime make-up is perfect for summer. Keep it simple by using:
  • Moisturizer- With an SPF (after cleansing your face first, of course.) Mix with a little foundation to make it a tinted moisturizer.
  • Blush or bronzer- Create a warm and sculpted face with blush or give your entire face and neck a warm-up with a bronzer.
  • Mascara- Apply a coat or 2 of mascara to open up your eyes
(Try: Maybelline’s XXL Pro Volume Washable)
  • Lip gloss- Use your favorite gloss or lip tint to complete your daytime look.
Add- A dab of concealer under the eye and on any discoloration can be used if necessary.
Hair Care- Summer is also the perfect time to keep hair simple…. Here are 2 essential items for great hair….
  • Shampoo- Use a formulation designed for your hair type.
  • Leave-in Conditioner- Skip the conditioner step by just using a leave-in conditioner. And many leave-ins work as a styling agent, too. (For example, the leave-in for curly hair can eliminate frizz and define the curl….just add a little more.)
(Try: Sebastian Potion 9 wearable styling treatment)
Body Care- Keeping your skin moisturized and sun-protected is important for the summer.
  •  Shower Gel Scrub- Keep your skin radiant and dry skin at bay by using a shower gel scrub.
(Try: Orgins Gloomaway Grapefruit body-buffing cleanser)
  • Moisturize- Use a moisturizer with an SPF for daytime protection. If you are spending time in the direct sun, you can add more as needed.
Now, with these easy tips we can get out and enjoy our summer activities and look fabulous in the process……

10 Surprising Beauty Boosters

Here are 10 easy beauty boosters that can help you show off your personal beauty confidence without the time and expense of more extensive procedures.

  • A Nice smile- White teeth and healthy gums are immediately noticeable and can raise your beauty quotient. Be sure to brush and floss daily and get your teeth brightened as necessary.
  • Well groomed eyebrows- Nicely arched eyebrows can give you an instant lift because they open up the eye to create a polished look. With maintained eyebrows, you can literally walk out the door with mascara, a little bronzer and lip gloss and look pulled together.
  • Short natural nails- Long nail extensions are not only an expense but they ruin the nail bed underneath with long-term use. With such an array of fabulous nail colors available, now is the time to switch to a short natural nail. You will be surprised how nice your nails can look.
  • Say no to extensions- Hair extensions are a great temporary enhancement. I recommend the temporary ones that can be clipped on. Long-term wearing of the more permanently attached extensions, however, can lead to hair loss due to breakage and tension. And once you get hooked, it’s an expensive habit. Get a fabulous cut or trim instead.
  • Wear a facial sunscreen everyday- Wear a tinted moisturizer with a sunscreen or a sun block every day….even in cloudy weather. It gives you protection from the damaging effects of the sun is a great way to keep your face from needing more expensive skin treatments. Plus be sure to cleanse your face and moisturize at night.
  • Shiny hair— Glossy hair always looks healthy and beautiful. There are so many hair serums available that deliver a beautiful glossy shine and provide additional conditioning. Just a few drops can make your hair look amazing.
  • Wearing the correct size- It’s amazing how clothes that are too large or too small can make you look bigger. Don’t worry about the number on the tag….go for a perfect fit.
  • Great accessories- Great accessories are an easy and economical way to spruce up any look. Don’t be afraid to show your creativity by experimenting with scarves, jewelry, bracelets, hats and belts.
  • No smoking- Smoking is not only a huge turn off to real beauty, but the disadvantages are real….stained teeth, loss of taste and smell, smelly clothes and hair, and of course it’s a big detriment to your health and skin.
  • Good posture- I am always amazed at how many beautiful women (even celebrities) do not stand up straight. Poor posture instantly comes across as a lack of confidence and doesn’t allow for true beauty to shine through. Be aware of and practice good posture and you can instantly improve your beauty. Plus you will look much better in your clothes.
These simple changes can make the most of your individual beauty. Be brave enough to show your beauty confidence. Be a style innovator and bring out the best of your beauty confidence.
